Are you interested in learning more about angel investing and how to get involved as an angel investor?
This workshop will provide an introduction to angel investing, including what it is and how it differs from other types of investing. We will also cover the unique aspects of a specific Angel Investor Networks based in Asheville: the Asheville Angels, the local chapter of VentureSouth. You will learn about investment criteria, process, and some case studies of companies that they have funded.
In addition to learning about the different kinds of Angel Groups, the workshop will also cover what to expect as an angel investor, including the risks and rewards of angel investing. We will provide some tips for successful angel investing and discuss the historic returns of angel investing, including a statistical analysis and comparison to other asset classes.
Finally, we will leave time for a Q&A session and wrap-up.

Founded in October of 2014, Asheville Angels currently consists of about 40 angel investors.
